Comparison of Caffeine Intake and Brain Training Effect on Performance Intelligence

Background: Intelligence is the ability to comprehend complex ideas and reasoning. Caffeine a psychoactive substance that known possess an effect on improving cognitive function, memory, attention. Brain training digital process which holds purpose of enhancing function.Objective: This study aimed compare caffeine brain performance intelligence.Methods: research experimental with two groups pre test post design. The sample was college students Faculty Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (n=42) aged between 18-22 years old, then categorized into: group (n=21) received 50 ml once daily caffeinated beverage for weeks, 30-minute-session NeuroNationTM every day weeks. Performance intelligence measured before after treatment by using Raven Progressive Matrices test. statistical analysis used Mann-Whitney Wilcoxon test.Results: average score increased from 48,81±9,30 55,90±2,95 (p<0,001).
